An e-car without electricity is like a fireplace without fire. Electric mobility will only be a success if the whole system is intelligently integrated into the existing energy grid. The “e-mobility” project aims at developing an innovative charging, controlling and billing infrastructure for electric mobility in private transport that can be integrated into the existing electricity grid.

“e-mobility” has close connections to other projects and initiatives, such as “E-DeMa”, the e-energy model region, “Smart City Mühlheim”, a technical test module, Berlin’s field test with an e-car fleet, and “Grid-for-Vehicle (G4V)”, a project planned by the EU. These connections are intended to be starting points for an extensive infrastructure and coherent standards throughout Germany and the EU. .
